Friends of Ryde Rotary Club Constitution

Object: - to communicate with and encourage people who:-

1) have expressed an interest in becoming members of Ryde Rotary Club if their conditions become conducive to regular attendance and/or

2) would like to assist the club in our social, community and charitable activities;

Guide Lines

a) The list of people will be known as '' Friends of Ryde Rotary Club " (the Friends) and will be kept by the Club Secretary ;

b) The Club Secretary will keep a record of the names, addresses, telephone numbers and e.mail details of "the Friends ";

c) Where possible communications will be made by e.mail.

d) The Club Membership Chairman will be responsible for giving the Club's monthly programme to "the Friends" and to indicate where their help may be required and where their attendance would be appreciated;

e)The Friends will be able to attend occasional speakers's meetings and social meetings ( eg. ladies meetings) but must request attendance through the Club Membership Chairman or their sponsor member. (Approval should be given with the aim of the Friend becoming a full member by a better knowledge of club activities and members).

f) The Friends will not pay membership fees, but will pay the going rate for the events they attend;

g) Applications from current or past members of the Rotary Club of Ryde cannot be considered.

h) The list of Friends will be revised from time to time.
