Ryde Rotary Club Open Farm day at Wight Salads
Wight Salads hosted an event of Open Farm Sunday on the 9th of June 2013. Open Farm Sunday is a UK run scheme which has been running since 2006. The farm is opened up to the community with events such as tours, tasting, picnic areas, community stalls etc. Ryde Rotary Club were invited as key partner along with others organisations that they have been working with in recent years. Other GP8 Clubs were invited to attend, as it was an ideal opportunity for Island Rotary to promote itself. District has funded 500 of 2 different types of leaflets about Rotary to be given out by a Wight Salads Goody bag. There was a display board and West Wight Club will brought ashelter box and errected the tent to show the public.
