Ryde Rotary Club hosted the Island Rotary Clubs (Group 8) Kids Out event

at Robin Hill on Wednesday the 26th of June.

Children all over the Island enjoyed a great day out thanks to the Islands Rotary clubs and the charity Kids Out.

Kids Out is a project which Rotarians offer their time, help and support in order to bring fun and happiness into the lives of disabled and disadvantaged children. They arrange days out to family friendly and fun places such as adventure parks, the seaside, zoos or even something as simple as a picnic. For many of the children who attend it is often a once in a lifetime experience.

Around 180 children and their helpers from Medina House, St. George's and St. Catherine's Schools were given a great day-out by the Islands's Rotary Clubs.

The day was fine and all the children had a full day at Robin Hill County Park.

Ryde Rotary Club, the lead group, wishes to thank the staff at Robin Hill, who could not have been more helpful, Southern Vectis for supplying the transport, free of charge, Sainsbury's and other sponsors for their generous help. All agreed the day was an enormous success.

The first Rotary KidsOut Day took place in 1990. Since then, up to 25,000 disadvantaged children throughout the country have enjoyed a fun day out every year.
