Dictionaries for Life at Copnor Junior School July 2011

Portsmouth North now provide Dictionaries for Life to 2 Local Schools
Following the success of supporting Stamshaw Junior School with dictionaries for life for a number of years, the Rotarians of Portsmouth North have now included Copnor Junior School.
On friday morning 15 July Club President John Dykes and Ken Waterfield Chairman of the International Committee presented individually named copies of the Dictionary for Life to 105 pupils of Year 5 at Copnor Junior School. The children were thrilled to bits with their dictionaries and one was heard to say "This is the best present I have ever had !"
The UK Standard edition Dictionary 4 Life (D4L) has had extraordinary success in the 29 Districts of Rotary GB&I and beyond. The D4L promotes British English and encourages children to widen their vocabularies and improve their life chances.
