Rotary Wishing Well Walk

Sat, May 9th 2026 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

The 2026 Wishing Well Walk on 9th May, is a family-orientated sponsored walk that is being jointly organised by Highcliffe and Christchurch Rotary Clubs and Macmillan Caring Locally in aid of their respective Charities.

The walk will start at 12 noon from the Cliffhanger café with walkers being set off at intervals – start times being allocated on registration for the walk.  The full walk is approximately 6 miles  from the Cliffhanger to the Rotary Wishing Well on Mudeford Quay and back to the Cliffhanger. There  will also be an option for 3 miles, stopping on reaching Mudeford Quay – although, if you choose to do this, you will need to arrange your own travel back to Highcliffe if necessary.

Registration costs £10 for an Individual and £12 for a group of up to 4 people. However, we are asking every family/individual registering to obtain sponsorship for the walk to provide the bulk of the funds being raised. There will be a prize for the most sponsorship raised.

So do join us for the Rotary Wishing Well Walk, where we’ll stroll together and make wishes come true by raising funds for good causes. Every penny counts and is so gratefully received.

While the possibility of any problems at the event is very small, we recommend you read the advice from Dorset Police on ensuring your safety and security at large public events.

We are extremely grateful to our sponsors – Cliffhanger Restaurant,  Taylor Made Designs and The Primrose Charitable Trust.

*Financial Split – 75% to Macmillan Caring Locally, 25% to local charities supported by Christchurch and Highcliffe Rotary Clubs.
