My name is Rowan Temple.
My Professional life began at Barts .... nursing, then Midwifery and finally becoming a Health Visitor.
John Temple and I travelled round the world from 1971 - 1973 visiting 27 different countries and very much on a shoe string.
I married John in 1976 and we had 2 children and a busy family life.
We completed the Pennine Way once children had left home. Walking was a huge sport but I also loved tennis and we both skied.
John died in 2002 and I invited friends & family to join me on various trips.
A walk to Machu Pichu in Peru then going on to The Galápagos Islands.
A climb up Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and a climb up Mount Toubkal in Morocco.
A camping Tour of Mont Blanc, and The Cradle Mountains Huts Walk in Tazmania are just a few highlights culminating in the Expedition to Antarctica this year.
I look forward to meeting you and your club members on Zoom on Thursday next. 13th August 2020
