20 Rotarians met at La Saline on a bright and breezy morning, led and organised by Bob Marshall. The current night tides meant that there was not a lot of "rubbish" to collect but we had to be vigilant for fishing wire, plastics and rope to name a few items which could easily put or marine life in danger. The best "worst" find was a length of fishing wire complete with weight and hook!
All rubbish was collected and collated and we managed to fill around 5 black sacks plus a length of wood, which Peter Browning carried all the way and a potato tray! The collection was followed by a very tasty bacon roll and coffee in Jersey Pearl, as shown by the picture of President Ray enjoying himself.
We hope to do another beach clean in the Autumn.
