Friday 3rd October saw three schools joining in Jersey Porridge Day by allowing Rotary and Inner Wheel to serve their pupils, parents and friends a meal of porridge at the start of their school day. This is exactly what Mary's Meals do for almost one million children in Africa and around the world every school day.
At Grand Vaux, Samares and St Lukes schools almost 500 pupils took part and enjoyed the novel way to start their day, whilst learning about the difficulties facing less fortunate children and their parents in other parts of the world.
