In the final week of the summer term (2018-19 school year) members of Annan Rotary distributed nearly 200 scientific calculators to Primary 7 leavers from the various schools which feed into Annan Academy.
This is a Rotary Club project which has been running for many years and used to give the P7 leavers, on their way to the “big school” at Annan Academy, a dictionary. Following a feedback exercise carried out a couple of years ago, this will be the second year that the club has given the P7 leavers a scientific calculator instead of a dictionary.
This project is one of a number undertaken by Annan Rotary each year to raise the profile of Rotary within the wider community as a whole.
