New Members want to ask the following questions, but sometimes they just don't.  So here is a list of usefull questions to help you in joining Rotary Club of Broughty Ferry

Can anyone join Rotary Club of Broughty Ferry?

Yes, males and females are most welcome to apply to join

Do I need to attend every meeting?

No, we appreciate that everyone has different demands with work and personal life.  So we are flexible with attendance at our meetings.

What's your dress code?

We are relaxed in our approach to meetings.  Turn up with what you are comfortable in.  Some members wear jackets, others wear jeans.  Some even use our smart Rotary Poloshirts/Shirts

How old do you have to be to join?

You can be any age over 18.  Our Club is very modern and age is no barrier. Most of our members are aged over 40, but don’t feel you need to wait, just come along and you will be made very welcome

How much does Rotary cost me?

Our Annual Membership currently set at £120.  Our weekly meetings with a two course meal are set at £12.50.  One week starter and main course, the alternative week main course and dessert, followed by tea/coffee.
We also take part in some other visits and activities that may incur a cost.

What happens on the evening that you meet?

On arrival we take attendance and give out members badges.  We then have a table setup and manned by the hotel where you order and pay for your food.
We then mix and have a chat until the past president rings the abertay bell. We then all sit at a table of our choice.  Some members are invited to sit at the main table with our speaker and president.
Following the meal there is a short business update for Rotarians followed by a speaker at most meetings.
Following the meetings some rotarians retire to the hotel bar

So how is the club run and what are all the posts/committees, what do i do?

We have various posts which are listed on this website.  We also have several committees and their responsibilities are also listed on this site.  If you have any questions about them, just ask any Rotarians.  Once you have settled in you will be asked to think about which committees you would like to support
