The Rotary Club of Wokingham is thrilled to announce the outstanding success of its recent Christmas collections held outside Tesco, Waitrose, and Morrisons. The Rotary Club extends its sincere gratitude to the supermarkets for their support and to the generous customers & residents who contributed to the success of the initiative.
During the Christmas collections held across two weekends in December, the Rotary Club of Wokingham raised an impressive total of over £1600. The Wokingham community showed overwhelming generosity, with residents and shoppers making significant contributions to the cause. The funds raised through these collections will play a vital role in supporting families and individuals assisted by Transform Housing & Support, a local charitable organization dedicated to providing housing and support services to vulnerable individuals and families.
"We are truly grateful for the incredible kindness & generosity demonstrated by the residents & customers of Wokingham, as well as the support we have received from Tesco, Waitrose, and Morrisons" said Club President Nick Campbell-White. "Raising over £1600 is a remarkable achievement, and these funds will make a meaningful impact on the lives of those supported by Transform Housing & Support. Together, we are making a difference in our community."
The Rotary Club of Wokingham encourages the community to stay engaged and continue supporting local initiatives that aim to uplift and assist those in need. The success of this event is a testament to the Wokingham community spirit and the shared commitment to making a positive impact at this time of year.
