Making a difference

Rotary is a worldwide network of inspired men and women who translate their passions into relevant social causes, to change lives in communities.

Making a difference

Although   Rotary   gives    back    in    countless ways, we focus our service efforts in six areas to maximise our local and global impact:
  1. Promoting peace
  2. Fighting disease
  3. Providing clean water
  4. Saving mothers and children
  5. Supporting education
  6. Growing local economies
  7. Protect the environment

Rotary’s mission is simply to serve others; to give something back, to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace by utilising the skills, talents and energy of our members collectively.

  • We want to bring about positive change in our neighbourhoods by fostering and building strong communities.
  • We want to provide opportunities that will improve lives.
  • We want to help eradicate poverty, hunger and preventable disease across the world.
Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 30 years. Our goal of ridding the  world of this disease is closer than ever.

We've helped immunise more than 2.5 billion children in 122 countries. So far, Rotary has contributed more than $1.8billion towards eradicating the disease worldwide.

As a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, we've reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent since our first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979.
