The Rotary Club of Uxbridge’s Membership Services Committee could be viewed as the Cinderella of the Committees. It doesn’t get to go to the Ball. It is however at the heart of our Club and enables so many of the Club’s day-to-day activities.
The Programme
The Membership Services Committee make sure that we have a busy programme of events and a host of interesting speakers throughout the year.
The House and Fellowship
This section of the Committee organises our regular Club meetings and special 5th Friday evenings.
New Members
No organisation can stand still and we are always delighted to welcome new members. This Committee looks after this very vital aspect of our activities. If you would like to join us, do click on the ‘Like to join our Club?’ button on the left of the main page to find out more.
Bulletin and Publicity
All members regularly receive the magazines from Rotary and from our own District 1090. In addition we like to have our own ‘In-House’ Bulletin and this is a quarterly publication enjoyed by all members and close friends outside the Club. We also have a Publicity Officer who makes sure that important information about our Club’s activities appears in local Press.
Sports
Some of our members are keen on golf so occasionally there’s a competition just to keep them on their toes. This committee organises these competitions and the darts tournaments held between Clubs in our District.
Almoner
One of the many great things about Rotary is its caring side. We want to help others but sometimes we also need to look after our own when illness strikes. We have an Almoner who is always there to provide support.
