The Jack Evans Award Winners – Giving Something Back To Their Communities
On Friday 15th April the Rotary Club of Uxbridge hosted their annual Jack Evans Awards at the Middlesex Suite in the Civic Centre. The Awards celebrate the achievements in service to the community of young people from seven Secondary Schools within the London Borough of Hillingdon in honour of the late Jack Evans OBE, a long standing Rotarian, who served the community of Hillingdon and was the first Head Teacher of Abbotsfield. At his request, the Award is open to the following Schools: Abbotsfield, Harefield Academy, Swakeleys, Vyners, Bishopshalt, Uxbridge High and Douay Martyrs.
In the presence of the Mayor and Mayoress of Hillingdon Cllrs. George and Judith Cooper, Katherine Wilkinson, Jack's daughter, and the President of the Rotary Club of Uxbridge Rtn.
