Visit to the De Havilland Museum

On Thursday November 13th a group of 9 (7 Rotarians and 2 guests) attended a visit with a guided tour of the De Havilland Museum at London Colney, arranged by Pat Voss.

The visit was excellent, featuring refreshments on arrival and a very informative tour of the extensive and fascinating indoor exhibits, the star of which was the original prototype Mosquito. This is one of 3 examples of the ‘Wooden Wonder’, so named because of its construction and multiple uses during WW2, there being only around 30 survivors worldwide of over 7,700 built.

Lunch at a local inn followed with several people attending. This was a great trip well organised and the  weather held up.
