Young Carers Christmas Party
Young Carers living near Aylesbury attended their Christmas party on Sunday 8 December. About 60 children aged 8-11 years arrived in party dress ready to enjoy games with an entertainer, colouring pictures and to eat lots of food.
For the 10th year, this event was supported by a grant from our Rotary Club, and involved several members decorating the hall, receiving coats, serving the food and drink and clearing up afterwards. We also provided a present to each child, given by our very own Father Christmas, ably helped by his team of elves!
The children really enjoyed themselves. For many Young Carers, with an underprivileged background, this is the only time that they will be able to get out to have a good time this Christmas.
In thanking the Rotary Team, Rafiq of Carers Bucks said that the children had a brilliant afternoon and this could not have been achieved without the support and help from Princes Risborough Rotary Club
back Santa handing out gifts to Bucks Young Carers at the Fairford Leys Community Centre on Saturday 29th November 2014. More than 70 children took part in a great party
