Saunderton Lodge Christmas Goodies
Meron and Fiona Coogan joined Rotary in 2022 .At Christmas , they were keen to personally fund and support a good cause. Following a discussion with Richard Stevenson, they purchased Christmas luxury biscuits, chocolates and selection boxes, enough for the rooms of all occupants at Saunderton Lodge. They wanted to provide items that they may not be able to purchase themselves. This was well received.
This year , they wanted to do the same . Whilst they were happy to part fund, they thought they could also ask for donations from fellow Rotarians. Fiona sent a message out by email to the wives / partners of the Rotarians asking for donations and detailed the types of Christmas items required. She then coordinated the collection of all donations. This was hugely successful. They also purchased a number of items themselves to ensure that they could provide for each of the 32 rooms currently occupied.
On 12th December 2023, they delivered the Christmas goodies to Saunderton Lodge and met Harriet Posner who is the temporary Accommodation Officer. She was extremely grateful and expressed thanks to the the Rotary Club of Princes Risborough..
