Risborough Community Centre Hearing Loop 2022

Supported by PR Rotary Club

The Princes Risborough Rotary Club started over 2 years ago to lobby the Mayor, Matt Walsh, for a Hearing Loop in the main room in the Community Centre at Wades Park. He agreed that it was essential and when the Town Council decided to refurbish the centre, a Hearing Loop was included in the plans.

The Community Centre is now called the Wades Centre and its main function room is the Brushwood Suite. This now has a Hearing Loop incorporated into its PA system. The Rotary Club donated £2,800 towards the cost of the loop. This will enable people to hear the audio clearly via their hearing aids.

On Friday 18 February 2022, Roy Page, the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club and Ellis Artus, the Rotary Hearing Project Officer presented the Mayor, Andy Ball, with 2 plaques to commemorate this funding.
