The Rotary Club of Princes Risborough are delighted to announce the opening of a new sensory garden at the Princes Risborough Primary School.
The garden is designed to provide children with a safe and tranquil area which is both visually and mentally stimulating. The funds to cover the £8,000 cost were raised by generous donations from local residents mainly at the recent Farmers Markets and a sponsored cycle ride. The Headteacher Mrs Howlett said “we are delighted with the garden and thank the Rotary Club for making it possible. The garden has completely transformed an unusable space into a garden that I know the children are thrilled about, it will make so much difference to their lives.”
Construction of the garden was undertaken by local firm Joe Brown Home Improvements in conjunction with other local companies JD Contractors, TG Building and StridersUp4Grabs during the summer holidays in time for the new Autumn term. Rotary Project Lead Trevor Fitch expressed his thanks to those contractors for their support and in particular the residents of Princes Risborough for their generosity.
