Saturday December 5th saw the Princes Risborough Xmas market take place in the sun at the King George V playing field.
It also saw local Rotary Club president Roy Page present 2 local councillors, Alan Turner and Matt Walsh, with Paul Harris Fellowship (PHF) awards.
The PHF award is named after Paul Harris, who founded the club which became the humanitarian organisation Rotary International in 1905. It is the highest award that can be bestowed by Rotary and is given in recognition of service to the community above and beyond what would normally be expected.
Alan and Matt conceived, launched, lead and run the Risborough Basket scheme, which has helped many local people for whom isolation and shopping for food and other goods has been so difficult this year. The scheme has also helped shops and businesses in Princes Risborough who have found it hard to survive in the difficult circumstances we all face.
Roy also awarded a Rotary Certificate of Appreciation.to the many volunteers who help with the operation of the scheme.
