Rotarian Richard Stevenson today delivered a consignment of 10 microwave ovens to Saunderton Lodge, funded by the Princes Risborough Rotary Club charity fund. The picture shows Sarah from the management team receiving the ovens, and hoping that Richard will help unload them.
These much - needed ovens are supplied to clients when they leave the Lodge, as in many cases, their future accommodation does not have suitable cooking facilities.
Saunderton Lodge is one of many local organisations supported by Rotary, and it is gratifying to be able to make a specific contribution towards the running of the operation.
We have received the following email from the Lodge:
Dear Richard
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to the Rotary Club for agreeing and for supplying the 10 new Microwaves that you kindly delivered to Saunderton last week.
This will really assist residents in Saunderton, especially those with babies who use them to sterilize bottles, and those who do not have too many cooking skills to have hot meals!!
We have agreed that the residents can take the microwaves into their new homes when they move on from us at Saunderton, as the properties are unfurnished and they can use the microwaves to prepare hot foods. It can take families sometime to be able to source and/or buy cookers. This also means they will be able to move quicker and not run up unnecessary bills with an overlap.
Once again you have helped us at Saunderton. Thank you all for all your support over many years now, both financially and physically!!!
Kind regards, thank you again and stay safe.
Sarah & Hilary
