Rotary Junior Chess Tournament 2018

On Saturday the 16th of June twenty-two primary school children from ten local schools gathered at St Teresa's Catholic School for a fun chess competition sponsored and organised by The Rotary Club of Princes Risborough.

The presentation of prizes was carried out by Mr. Trevor Fitch a past President of The Rotary Club of Princes Risborough.

The winner Luke Rayfield of St Andrews Primary School Chinnor received a cup. The runner up was his younger brother Tommy Rayfield who received a shield. All the children taking part received a Certificate of Merit."

The event went well and the children all had fun and enjoyed themselves. Thanks must go to three non-Rotarians Mr Brian Lacey, his grandson Taylor and Mr Mike Turton who help enormously with the event.

Thanks also to Tom Winkworth who spent the morning meeting and greeting and generally helping out.
