Due to inclement weather the Annual 2017 Christmas Party for the Young Carers was postponed from December 2017until Sunday January 7th 2018.
The change of date did not deter over 70 Young Carers, aged from 8-12 years of age, from having a great time. We were astounded when Santa Claus and his two faithful Elves made a special out of season visit from Lapland to the Community Centre at Fairford Leys in Aylesbury. All the children left with a gift which santa brought with him
Many thanks to the Rotary team and their wives for making this such a successful party and to Mike Huxley for driving the bus. Special thanks to Hugh Poulton for organising the event which was, as you can see from the message below, much appreciated
Hi All,
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your help at the Christmas Party on Sunday. The set-up and packing away were done in record time and you were all fantastic in keeping the party running smoothly. I particularly loved the creativity of Santa’s grotto! The children all had a brilliant afternoon and we simply couldn’t have done it without your amazing help - thank you! J
