Young Carers living near Aylesbury attended their Christmas Party on 7 January, after it had been postponed from December due to snow. About 80 children aged 6-9 years arrived in party dress ready to enjoy the disco and games, have their faces painted and to eat lots of food.As usual this event was supported by our Rotary Club, providing transport, decorating the hall and serving the food.
Many thanks to the Rotary team and their wives for making this such a successful party and to Mike Huxley for driving the bus. Special thanks to Hugh Poulton for organising the event .
For many , this was the only time that they had been able to get out to have a good time with their Young Carer friends. In thanking the Rotary Team, Philippa Taylor of Carers Bucks said that the children all had a brilliant afternoon and that this could not have been achieved without our help. Hopefully, this year’s party will be held as currently planned on 9 December 2018.
Hi All,
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your help at the Christmas Party on Sunday. The set-up and packing away were done in record time and you were all fantastic in keeping the party running smoothly. I particularly loved the creativity of Santa’s grotto! The children all had a brilliant afternoon and we simply couldn’t have done it without your amazing help - thank you! J
