Each year The Rotary Club of Princes Risborough organise a chess competition for primary school children from schools in the local area.
Rotary volunteers and local chess enthusiasts Michael Turton and Brian Lacey ensure that boys and girls enjoy the day in a safe and welcoming environment.
Thanks also to St. Teresa's Catholic School for allowing the use of their premises.
Sixteen children took part in the 2015 event with the runner up being Lucas Barnett-Harris of the Beacon School in Amersham and the winner Matthew Moore from Haddenham.
Every child received a certificate of commendation for taking part from Trevor Fitch the President of the Rotary Club of Princes Risborough..
