The Club provides help and assistance with local events either by committing our time and resources or by raising funds. Our busiest time is in the latter half of the year, starting with the Kop Hill Climb in September, which is not organised by RCPR, but is nevertheless an event strongly supported by the club who help to ensure the many thousands of attendees are kept safe and have an enjoyable day out.
In December the club organises the Tree of Light, which provides an opportunity to remember and celebrate the life of someone special by dedicating a light on the Tree in the gardens at the corner of New Road and Duke Street. All funds raised at this event are shared between Florence Nightingale Hospice nd Rotary charities.Over £5,000 was raised in 2025, and more than £80,000 in the last 15 years.
One of our other main fund raising initiatives happens in the lead up to Christmas, when we assist with the turn on of the town's Christmas lights, and can be seen out and about in Princes Risborough with our collecting buckets and mince pies.
As a club we are also committed to the Princes Centre project for which we have raised over £25,000 to help to ensure the success of this venture.
The club also runs a Christmas lunch at the Princes Centre for the over 75's who live alone in the area. This has been such a success that we have now established another lunch in the summer.
