Our Rotary Club aims to encourage, support and involve young people in extending their friendships, developing their skills, gaining self- confidence, and serving communities home and abroad. We all know that investment in Young People is the future of the world.
In addition to our sponsorship of two Interact Clubs we are actively involved with schools and youth clubs and the Young Carers Bucks organisation for which we support several events each year and provide a regular transport service to and from organised clubs and activities.
We sponsor young people from the Princes Risborough area who volunteer to undertake overseas trips, which include voluntary work for the benefit of others, especially children. Such trips can be a life-changing experience for some of these young people. We also sponsor suitable candidates for the Rotary Young Leadership Awards (RYLA).
We run a Chess competition for primary school children from the Risborough area , support the annual Children in Need collection at Heathrow Airport and run the Annual Primary Schools Art Competition.
Princes Risborough Rotarians are constantly seeking to develop further ways of supporting the young people in our community and we welcome the involvement of other organisations in partnership with us to extend such support and help with the related activities.
