Supporting Young Carers in Our Community

Young carers play an incredibly important role, often taking on responsibilities at home while still juggling school, friendships, and their own wellbeing. We want to give something back by offering them a chance to relax, have fun, and simply enjoy being young.

We’re planning a free day of fun and activities for young carers at The Waterside Centre in Newbury. The day will be packed with engaging activities, creative sessions, and time to connect with others in a safe and supportive environment.

How You Can Help

To make the day as special as possible, we’re looking for support from local individuals, organisations, and businesses.

Arts and crafts donations
We are seeking donations of arts and crafts materials for our younger attendees. Items such as paper, paints, pens, craft kits, glue, stickers, and other creative supplies would be hugely appreciated. If you’re able to donate, or know of a business or organisation that might be willing to help, we’d love to hear from you.

Providing lunches for participants
We are also looking for someone who could provide lunches for all participants on the day — ideally at a discounted rate, or even better, free of charge. This would make a real difference and help us ensure the day is fully inclusive for everyone attending.
