Service defines Rotary's character; whether local or international, it promotes Rotary's appeal and visibility in the community, and is the reason Rotary continues to grow.
Rotarians are passionate about the community they work and live in.
At Newbury Rotary Club, we focus on helping national and local charities and community groups and projects. We may provide financial support, hands-on practical assistance and sometimes, simply advice or putting the right people in touch with each other.
Our main focus will be providing support and activities for West Berkshire Young Carers as well as support for:
Every year Newbury Rotary hires a barge from The Bruce Trust and organises day trips for local community groups.
This year we navigated the Kennet and Avon Canal from Great Bedwyn to Woolhampton between 7th to 13th September giving members from groups such as Motor Neurone Disease Association, Alzheimer's Society West Berkshire, Can Do It Club, Two Saints, Fairclose Day Centre, Brain Tumour Support & Social Group, MS Society and Castlegate Short Break Service a lovely day out.
