Marlow Rotary Club presents its Lance Slater Best Potential Citizen Award
Marlow Rotary Club runs a competition at Great Marlow School to identify the school’s “Best Potential Citizen” The prize is named after Lance Slater who was a keen supporter of the Club’s charitable activities in Marlow and particularly championed this event.
The candidates are interviewed by three of our members and the prize is hotly contested. This year it was presented by President John Elliot and Pauline Slater, Lance’s widow, to Arran Bligh at the school’s “Evening of Celebration” on the 11 July. In addition to his certificate, Arran won a £100 voucher.
Arran, who was accompanied by his proud mother, was selected from a shortlist of four very worthy contestants. We wish them all well for the future and look forward to maintaining our close association with Great Marlow School.
