Marlow Rotary Club continues to support the Buckinghamshire branch of Young Enterprise by providing a prize and helping to judge entries. Many local schools participate in these annual competitions to set up a commercial company and trade successfully, helped by voluntary mentors.
On the 20 March, the Club’s judges, Martin Blunkell and Frank Crowley, were at the Eden Centre in High Wycombe, where the Young Enterprise companies were exhibiting and selling their products.
The Club’s prize is for team involvement, commitment and enthusiasm - the “resilience” needed to overcome challenges of an organisational nature, like losing a key member or having personality conflicts. It is a measure of good leadership and team cooperation.
We are confident that this year a new crop of budding entrepreneurs will emerge from the competition; the winning entries will be announced in May.
