Charity Golf Day

Held on the 18th June 2025 at Sonning Golf Club, it was a lovely sunny day where 26 teams of 4 golfers competed for the Rotary Trophy and many other excellent prizes.

The day was to raise funds for the nominated charities, Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice, Shelter Box, and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance service.

 The winning golf teams were Oracle D, second Oracle B and third was Sonning Ladies. The winner of the individual golf trophy was Stuart Ogilvy team Hendos Big 6.

The event included a very successful Raffle and Auction organized by Rotarian’s David Champion and Derek Murphy also an excellent halfway house that provided soft drinks and refreshments and served on the day by Rotarian Bob & Lesley Hyatt.

This year we were very fortunate to have several local businesses who kindly sponsored holes all arranged by Rotarian Richard Ward that resulted in additional revenue for our charities.

The event will be held next year at Sonning Golf Club on the 17th June 2026.
