On 30th June
2025, the Rotary
Club of Loddon
Vale had its
Presidential
Handover
meeting at Sonning Golf Club with members and partners
witnessing the transfer of
Presidential
responsibility
from President Ted Davey
to incoming President John
Saunders. In addition, President Ted inducted a new member
and then proceeded to award, on
behalf of the members of the club, a Paul Harris Fellowship award to the Rotarian responsible for coordinating the record-breaking Christmas fundraising activity.
He then handed over to Past President Trevor Barber, who awarded on behalf of the members of RCLV, the
award of a Paul Harris Fellowship award to outgoing President Ted Davey for acting as president
for two years, for overseeing the record-breaking Christmas fundraising during his tenure and finally
raising the profile of Loddon Vale by undertaking a top speed zipwire descent in north Wales as one of
his final actions as president.
