ROTARY CHARITY AUCTION
On 15th June, a number of Rotarians and their guests gathered in Langley for a Charity Auction. Rotarians had donated various items and services for the audience to bid for. In the capable hands of Ian, our auctioneer, we were able to raise £1600 through the auction of items such as a print of a painting by Prince Charles, a telephone table, a massaging footspa and a picnic hamper.
Rotarians also offered a variety of services so people bid for meals to be cooked for them, for gardening services, a photo shoot, a taxi service and a will writing service amongst others. We also had a table-top sale.
This was the first time the club has held an auction and everyone enjoyed the evening and socialising together. A finger buffet and drinks were served. All the money raised has been sent to The Thames Valley Adventure Playground.
