Langley Scouts Crocus Planting

On Tuesday 22nd November Malcolm and Liz talked to the 1st Langley Scouts about the Purple4 Polio campaign
The following Saturday, not only the Scouts but aided by Cubs and Beavers, met for a mass planting.
St Francis Church, on the corner of London Road and Upton Court Road, has a large area of grass, much of which is visible to passing traffic, so is a site where the crocuses will be seen. David Rayner is the Scout Leader who led the working party and liaised with us and our thanks go to him in particular, but the also the group as a whole for their obvious enthusiasm.
We look forward to seeing the results of their efforts in February, and hopefully an end to this preventable disease all over the world.
