CLASSIC CARS EVENT at GERRARDS CROSS MEMORIAL CENTRE
10-Aug-2022
In all the years we have celebrated this event I feel this has been the best yet. So many more cars and so many more wonderful visitors. Even the weather managed to pull out all stops and present us with clear blue skies and bright sunshine. Our catering staff were kept on their toes all day providing tasty nibbles, cool and warm drinks, in true Rotarian fashion, with smiles all round. Our troops outside were kept busy coordinating the parking of all the wonderful Classic Cars inside the Centre grounds as well as parking of the visitor’s cars at an external parking area. It was great to see how many more families came to admire all these beautiful old cars and the hard work gone into making them bring British motoring history come alive.
This year we were joined by Mrs. Clare Weston, Marketing Manager of Nunn Hayward, who provided us with the plaques used for entry to our Event. We were very happy to welcome from Buckingham House, Care Home, Ms. Cristina Verrall, Hospitality Manager and Ms. Courtney Harry, Home Manager. We have shared links with this Home for many years and were pleased to welcome them to our event after such a long absence due to the recent Covid Restrictions.
I think it is fair to say that everyone went home having spent a very pleasant day enjoying the cars, refreshments, the weather and being out with friends.
