AN EVENING WITH TONY KENT
AT GERRARDS CROSS GOLF CLUB
This week Rotarians and Partners and Friends had the pleasure of being yet again hosted by Gerrards Cross Golf Club, who served us up a very tasty Carvery and Dessert. As usual the staff were welcoming and efficient and made our meal a pleasure. President Jim was happy to inform us of Rotary’s record Christmas fundraising and enlightened us regarding future activities we hope to carry out in our community and Charities we hope to help throughout 2022.
Our evening was further enhanced by an introduction to our guest speaker, Mr. Tony Kent, Boxer, Barrister and Author of crime fiction. His delivery of his “short history of his life” was both entertaining and enlightening. He kindly signed any books bought and won through out the evening. It was a shame that the evening had to come to an end. What a wonderful way to end January.
