Ian Hamilton tells us about his life and work as a Church of Scotland minister and Youth Chaplain.
On Wednesday 8 January President Jimmy Spankie welcomed members to the first Rotary Club lunchtime meeting of 2014 wishing everyone the very best for the year ahead.
New member Rev Ian Hamilton, a retired Church of Scotland Minister, gave his inaugural speech entitled Reverential Reflections. Ian was introduced as an experienced speaker, musician and writer - in fact a model speaker. Having looked up the meaning of model Ian explained he was a small imitation of the real thing.
Anecdotes from the pulpit came thick and fast including Hatches, Matches and Despatches with an amusing example under each heading. Were the names really Steak and Kidney
