All too often disaster strike in parts of the world that have little resources to recover and need outside support. We often contribute to this recovery by supplying ShelterBoxes (www.shelterbox.org) and Aquaboxes (www.aquabox.org).
moreWe donated £1000 to the Hope and Homes for Children charity that is active in Ukraine looking for loving homes for children orphaned in the war. We also gave £2,000 to Disasters Emergency Committee and £1300 to the Rotary International appeal
moreThe Young Writer competition for schools is a three stages event, Club level, District, level and National. There are 3 age groups, Junior, Intermediate and Senior.
moreRotary clubs around the world has systematically set about vaccinating people to eradicate polio. We have almost achieved our ambition. Find out more.

moreWe support local schools with both funds and equipment. Sometimes we combine with other charities to raise enough to buy more expensive items (e.g. minibuses, or fitting them out and laptop computers)
moreEvery year we entertain the scholars (sponsored by Rotary to complete a Masters degree) for an afternoon at the races and later, at the club dinner, they tell about their homes, studies and future plans -- Amazing young people.
moreWe have partner clubs in Gulpen/Vaals (Netherlands), Ingelheim (Germany) and St Nazaire (France). We have been enjoying exchange visits for many years.
moreDuring the last two years we have worked with other Rotary clubs (local and in Germany), to raise money for the new Thames Hospice. This support is on-going as we help develop and pay for the training of nurses and supply of garden furniture.
