As part of the UK Digital Upgrade, we are in the process of upgrading our LifeLine equipment to digital. Due to the switch we are unable to take orders for new LifeLine customers until January 2024. We will be updating our website and taking orders with our new digital equipment from that date.
Our current LifeLine equipment will continue to work as normal and we are speaking to all our current customers about the UK Digital Upgrade and how it will affect them. The telecoms industry will be replacing the old copper cable network with a modern digital system, known as the UK Digital Upgrade. This is taking place because the UK needs a modern telephone system which can handle communications via several different devices like mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices. The digital upgrade is planned to be completed by the end of 2025 and phone companies are already encouraging people to upgrade their home phone systems.
