The Rotary Club of Wisbech
PRESS RELEASE
Wisbech members welcomed the incoming President at their recent Handover Dinner. Held at Mendis Restaurant. The meeting was well attended by members and on accepting the Presidents post, Rotarian Daljit Roy referred to the great stewardship and difficulties overcome by the outgoing President Pearl Davies who was sadly too unwell to attend the meeting.
Daljit outlined is proposals to take the club forward building on the foundations laid by his predecessor. The photo shows Daljit welcoming his senior vice president Valerie Smith. Junior Vice President is Maggie Barwell.
Sadly soon after the handover meeting, Past President Pearl died. Pearl had promoted the best aspects of Rotary and especially the Christmas Parcels to deserving elderly residents. This press release was therefore held back as a mark of respect for Pearl.
