Each year scholars from around the world are paired with their local Rotary Club and apply for a scholarship to various universities, including those in East Anglia, to do a one year Masters degree
The Rotary District Council D1080 then allocate the students to a Club near their university.
The role of the club is to support and encourage the student during their stay and provide transport to clubs around the area who would like to hear about them and their studies.
Around 15 arrive in East Anglia each September and are welcomed with a joint evening where they meet each other and talk a little about their backgrounds and their plans.
This year 2022 - 23 Cambridge South has 2 scholars assigned to them.
Come and meet these focused and able young people.
Its always a pleasure.
