Jun 2018 Girton Memory Cafe - Summer Flowers

Fri, Jun 1st 2018 at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Organiser Richard de Horsey. The Memory Cafe welcomes All. A warm welcome for people with dementia or other problems associated memory loss (and their families / carers). Our eighty- seventh monthly event. Theme - Summer Sunshine & Flowers

Today we had a lovely sunny day to enjoy which was perfect for our theme.  Our roomful of people enjoyed some lovely nostalgic songs including All Things Bright and Beautiful - so familiar from our school days.  Our entertainment crew were dressed appropriately in gay flowers of all colours and Basil had gone to town on his shirt ! He also gave us a bit of culture with a funny poem that made everyone giggle.  We also enjoyed Wendy who read two more poems . Alan made a return visit bringing with him a selection from his toy collection kept for his grandchildren with some dating back to his fathers time - the wind up train and tram on their tracks were especially interesting for the lads amongst us!

All welcome.

Do hope you can come and join us next month.

Helpers start at 9am please.
