Do come along to the monthly Girton Memory-Cafe - co-ordinated by the Cambridge-South Rotary Club and supported by Inner Wheel and Friends of the Club.
Come and try us out ? ! Post Covid our first Cafe was 5th November 2021.
A Memory-Cafe is where there is a warm welcome for people with dementia or other problems associated with memory loss (and their families / carers), who's new memories may be partial and confusing. The aim is to evoke old memories that are complete and comfortable through, for example, refreshments in china cups, photos and documents from past years, songs and poems and informal talks.
Doors open each first Friday of the Month from 10.00am to 12.00pm, in the cosy Community Hall, St Vincents Close, Girton, Cambridge CB3 0PE.
How to find us -
St Vincent's Close is in the village of Girton on
the north side of Cambridge City. From the Huntingdon Road turn into
Girton Road, take the second turn on the left into Pepys Way. At the end
of this road turn right and the Community Centre is on the left. Car
parking is available outside the Centre. Look out for our banner and the golden Rotary Wheel.
Refreshments and entertainment are provided.
