Today we had a lovely room full gathered to celebrate the 6th Birthday of the Memory Cafe in Girton. Our very own Allsorts led the singing - such songs as Lamberth Walk and All the Nice Girls love a Sailor - such fun to sing along.
Bramley Court presented us with a cute cake to celebrate a year of their attendance, as well as our 6th Borthday !
Our District Governor Derek Rothwell and his wife Deidre were pleased to come and visit today and cut the cake for us (thanks again to Eileens piping bag and cupcakes) ! Our other guests included Assistant Governor Simon Lake, Zena Aldridge from Dementia UK and our Speaker Sam Clift. The WI came too with armfuls of Twiddle Muffs - really inventive creations that while away time with a variety of textures and small objects attached to look at and feel.
Thank you everyone that helped today and made it possible - The Cambridge South Rotary Club have made a long term commitment to offering this service for an extended period of time. - 72 events so far !
Helpers start at 9am please.
