Feb 2017 Annual Young Musician of the Year District Competition

Our 3 2017 candidates now qualify to go to the District Level Competition 26Feb17 - This is an Annual National Rotary competition open to all 17yrs or under on 31Aug2016 - instrumental and vocal soloists.


HUGE THANKS to St Faiths School for agreeing to host our Club event and to Millers who kindly agreed to donate the prizes.

For All Young Musicians !!

Open to All to come and listen to the varied and well chosen programmes on offer.

Parking and refreshments available.

Entry Form here - Deadline now passed.

Performers play or sing from memory, or from music, up to 8 mins each.

Three emminent Judges decide on our Winners and give constructive feedback to each competitor.

A grand piano provided - but accompanists sourced by the contestants as needed.

Our 3 Candidates are now eligible to go on to District , Regional and National Finals :

                The District Final, Sun 26th Feb 2017 at Greshams School, Holt NR25 6EA

                The Regional Final, Sun 19th Mar 2017 at the Colchester Institute, Colchester CO3 3LL.

                The National Final, Sat 6th May 2017 at the Welsh College of Music, Cardiff CF10 3ER.

This committee aims to put on events and support organisations that encourage and develop children and young people.
