Jun 2016 Kids Out Day at Wimpole

Wed, Jun 8th 2016 at 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

this open air event is for youngsters from the special schools in the area and their carers. A fun day out.

The Kids Out Day this year involved 87 enthusiastic children and young people from Special Schools around the Cambridge area.  The Royston Rotary Club ably organised the activities and were supported by members from several other clubs eg. Cambridge South, Cambridge, Sawston, Haverhill, Saffron Walden and Baldock.

The youngsters have lots of activities to choose from including visiting the Farm (with Pig Feeding), Face Painting, Bouncy Castles, Mural dawing, Kite making and Flying, a ride on the minature Steam Train, Giant Bubbles and the Magical Music Box.  Lunch is provided by Tescos and the clubs subsidise free Ice Cream for all !

Everyone gets a Kids Out cap and T-shirt to commemorate the event.

We had a wonderful day and the weather was perfect for flying the kites up to the end of their strings !

Next Year we will be supporting this rewarding event again - Do get in touch if you would like to help us.

The Cambridge South Club nominate the Castle School youngsters for this event.

Thank you all for your lovely pictures !
