Club Competition Winners compete for the District 1080 Prizes.

Congratulations - All 3 of our Candidates will now compete at Regional level !!

This is the second stage of the Annual National Competition for Rotary Young Musician of the Year 2016.

Three Winners of the Cambridge Area Competition organised by Cambridge South Rotary Club went to Greshams School, Holt to compete with 7 other talented young people from across East Anglia.

The 5 instrumentalists and 5 vocalists performed infront of a panel of experienced judges to gain a place in the Regional Competition Sunday 20th March at James Allen Girls School, Dulwich.

The Judges were :

Alison Cox OBE - teacher, orchestral composer and artistic Director of the Endymion Ensemble.

Chris Green-Armytage - piano teacher, international pianist and examiner for ABRSM.

Stephen Miles - teacher, vocalist and opera director.

The standard on the day was very high and the Judges found it difficult to decide on the winners.

Assistant District Governor Robert Lovick was delighted to present certificates and prizes to George Harliono-Evans, Lily Bravery, Adelaide Harliono-Evens and George Corson.
