Dr Anthony Cooke has a deep interest in military history. His interest in the Great War stems from his Grandfather, Herbert Siddall who volunteered in 1915 aged 16 and joined 2/3rd West Riding Field Ambulance and then served during the Somme campaign as a stretcher bearer. He was gassed in 1918 but survived the War to die in 1953 aged 54 years, two years before Anthony was born.
Anthony is part-time Director of Lest We Forget - Operation of Historical Sites and Buildings and Similar Visitor Attractions.
Dr Cooke was development director in clinical diagnostics for 25 years, mainly on the Science Park and now is also a part-time diagnostics consultant.
