Today we joined Sustainable Girton and the local PTA to clean up the Recreation Ground and adjacent Primary School area.
15 volunteers met at the Girton Pavilion Car Park of a wide variety of ages and had a very busy 3 hours scouring the large site for debris.
By the time we were finished there were 10 packed bags plus boxes of glass bottles.
It is an area much used by children and young people who are at risk from the glass, metal and unhygienic waste that has accumulated recently. Lots of people will benefit from the effort involved. Please come and help out if you possibly can. Let David A know when you can spare some time.
